After earning his Red Seal certification in sheet metal, Matt began working in residential construction, where he installed furnaces, humidifiers, and air conditioning units. This work soon expanded into new home construction, allowing him to broaden his skills in ventilation systems.
As Matt gained experience, he took a bold step toward independence. When some of the companies he subcontracted for faced challenging times, he decided to establish his own business, initially operating under the name MD’s Industries. However, Matt soon realized the name didn’t resonate with his clients. Experimenting with a new brand identity, he tried “The Heating Ninja,” which quickly gained popularity for its memorable, approachable character.
